Startec’s Golf Tournament “John Anton Memorial” on Saturday August 17th, 2013 at Collicut Siding Golf Club was a successful event! We had 29 golfers as well as several volunteers who enjoyed their day at Crossfield and who are already looking forward to next year’s tournament which we will aim to make bigger and better.

Startec Refrigeration Services Ltd employees and guest teams collected $1,448 for the Alberta Cancer Foundation in memory of our colleague John Andreas Anton. All the funds will go towards supporting the battle against cancer. Now John’s name will be in the album that rests on a shelf in the lobby of the Tom Baker Cancer Centre.

And a big thank to +40 suppliers who donated door prizes to our tournament and helped make this event possible! Thank you to our Dinner sponsor, Startec, for a fabulous steak meal.

I wanted to take a minute to give all the Social Committee Members special thanks for your efforts towards the John Anton Memorial Golf Tournament. It was a fantastic event and everyone did a great job.  Special thanks go to Lesa Crory, Golf Tournament Coordinator and Rhonda Thomson, Golf Outing Committee. The day was very well organized and a lot of fun.
