PARK WITH PURPOSE:
A small adjustment in where you park could make a big difference in deterring an attacker. Can you park closer to a shuttle bus, a busy store, a hotel entrance, or a security camera?
WALK WITH PURPOSE:
Think about how a perpetrator might perceive you and your body language. Does it say “Back off!” or, “I’m vulnerable”?
DON’T ISOLATE YOURSELF:
When riding on public transit, try to be near other people. Can you sit close to the operator at the front of the LRT train or bus? Also, when walking at night, try to avoid empty, poorly-lit paths that may leave you vulnerable.
